Bar 50 is the Edinburgh Cowgate’s best kept secret. We’re a kitchen and bar serving food and drinks from 8am till late.
The team are passionate about cocktails and take pride in their local knowledge, two of our bar tenders were among the first qualified whisky ambassadors in the country.
Dishes range from The Ultimate Buccleugh beef burger and piri piri fries, to Innis and Gunn battered haddock with chips. Everything is locally sourced where possible.
You can join in with some local musicians on a Monday night at the open mic night or try your hand at the pub quiz on a Thursday to win a case of Pistonhead Lager or a bottle of Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum. On top of that, Bar 50 has two pool tables, big screen TV’s with sky sports and a massive heated smoking area.
